The Palermo

Today has been challenging. As life sometimes is. For lunch I went to Pazzo Vita. An excellent deli not far from where I work. Sometimes I call it "The Paz". I often go there with co-workers. But today, someone had already brought Elisa food from a place called "The Soup Kitchen" so she was like- "I already have food". And I was like "What?! Ok, that's cool."

So I head over to The Paz (smiley face). I couldn't decide whether to go with my usual salad with grilled chicken, or the Palermo. The Palermo is a fantastic grilled tuna salad sandwich with Mozzarella cheese and tomatoes. It's amazing.

So I emailed Chuck to ask him whether I should go with the salad or the sand. No answer of course. He was probably laying out at the pool at his condo that he just bought. It smells like water damage. ANYWAY- I made the decision to go with the Palermo and a large Diet coke.

It was a good choice. I'm glad I made it. Seems like we have to make a lot of choices in life. And it would be nice if they all turned out as good as the Palermo. But they sometimes don't. But you learn. You learn it. You learn stuff about it. And life. It's there. You see it. Case closed.
Thanks
Jami

  1. I love the Palermo too, and I agree it is one of the easier choices to make in life...in fact I went to eat at Jason's Deli the other night (by myself because my friend Jami wanted to meet at the movie theater and not for dinner beforehand but that's beside the point) and I had thought this is such a difficult decision why can't the Palermo be on their menu too? In fact I might have to head over to The Paz right now.

  2. Jami, the Palermo isn't in DC (or anywhere important for that matter) so I can't really see your point. I'm sorry, I want to understand but I just don't really get it.

  3. Ya know, I'm just reading through old blog posts, and it's amazing what you can learn. I came here looking for C.W. pictures, but these posts belie so many deeper insights. Take this seemingly innocuous post for example.

I think it has finally taught me that some decisions can be made without Rob. A thought that had never occurred to me. Thank you.
